Stop motion for critique week 4
Critique Comments
-The movements give the objects personality
-The use of clay objects in the real world is a bit strange
-Feels like the first time I've done stop-motion (probably because it is)
-Need to make a decision between using real or using clay objects, what would this mean?
-When do the objects come alive and take form? There is no time frame in this video, is it late at night when everyone has gone to bed?
-All objects are on the same scale, the drawers are as big as the iron etc, no heirarchy
-I have created my own world of original objects
-Someone thought of 'The Gollum' - an old German movie and silent film?
-There is a one liner punch line
-Not getting the 'night time' feeling
-Maybe the tv is off?
-Movement of the actual objects would be more interesting
-Chris Know - early music videos
-What about sound? Maybe laid back music? But this might stop the imagination of the viewer
I have to decide whether I want to use the real objects or use little models of the objects. At the moment I am thinking I will use the real objects, I think it will be an interesting challenge to animate inanimate household objects and give them personality.
